We do the legwork
As a vegan it can be difficult, check that, demanding, to find everyday items such as shoes and toothpaste that you can actually be confident are vegan-friendly.
Sales staff, and even store management, don’t always know what’s in the products they sell, and an item’s list of materials or ingredients will often fall short of providing the whole story. Instead, this knowledge is buried somewhere in the supply chain.
At Get it Vegan, we do all of this legwork for you; we contact companies directly to do the digging on all the items we list, so you don’t have to.
Our “Vegan Filter”
Before we list any item on Get it Vegan, we contact the brand to ensure that there are no hidden animal products in any part of the item, such as in adhesives or dyes, ensuring there are no animal by-products of any kind. If the company proudly declares that the item is vegan-friendly, we include it.
Makeup
All of the makeup we list is both cruelty-free, and vegan. We contact the companies to make sure the ingredients they use do not contain any animal products or by-products whatsoever, as well as to make sure that the products we list, and the ingredients within them, aren’t tested on animals.
